REGINALD LEE JONES, affectionately known by family and friends as “Reggie”, was born on September 19, 1968 in San Diego, California to Betty Jo and Donald Lee Jones Sr. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a very young age. He received his formal education through the San Diego Unified School District and graduated from San Diego High School with the “Class of 1986”. During his teen years, Reggie became intrigued with 70’s Soul Music and became well-known as a Disc Jockey throughout the San Diego Community. He enjoyed playing music because he knew music could be comforting, motivating, exhilarating and appealing to others. He emerged himself in his talent as he took pride in providing entertainment for others to enjoy.

During the early 1990s, Reggie began working for the County of San Diego Child Protective Agency. He had an unwavering vision towards helping troubled youth  and he took great pleasure in inspiring and encouraging them in becoming better young adults.

He met and fell in love with the love of his life, Agnieszka “Aga” Ostrowska. They were united in matrimony on January 14, 2006 in San Diego, and again on July 5, 2008 in Aga’s native home, Poland. To their union, two beautiful sons were born; Jaxson Lee and Theo Ollie. Although only toddlers, Reggie enjoyed calling them on his wife’s cell phone and leaving voice messages for his pride and joy to hear.

Reggie truly loved the Lord and was always speaking to others about God being his strength and provider. During his adult life, he became ill, yet he still maintained his drive and passion; staying connected with his family and friends. When his illness progressed, Reggie had to be hospitalized and within a short time, Reggie was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo; one sister, Penne Marie; and his aunt who raised him, Ruby Faye.

He is survived by his loving wife, Aga; two sons, Jaxson Lee and Theo Ollie; his father, Nathaniel Harris Jr.; two sisters, Donna Marie (Cory) and Kimberly Ann; two step-brothers, D.J. (Francis) and Deshun; step-sister, Nicole (Raymond); a cousin who was more like a sister, Tati (Eddie) and a host of other cousins, nieces and nephews.
