It"s 3:15 am 02/16/2024 and I can't sleep. I was thinking about the 1 year anniversary coming up of my MAMAS homegoing and my mind went back to all the good times on our family rv vacations. And now I am sobbing because as the memories of all my parents very close friends scrolled thru my thoughts, I realize that you are all gone. You were so dear to my heart, like a favorite uncle. One of my fondest memories was at 6 years old, you and zDad surprised me and were interested Baptism pool as MAMA and Mrs. Lucas handed me down in the water.. I remember sobbing as I hugged my Dad's neck tight because that moment 2 of the most important men in my life were placing a very important blessing over my life and spirit with God. Thank you Uncle Lonnie for being a strong positive in my life and for being part of many beautiful childhood memories. So sorry I couldn't be there for your homegoing celebration. I miss all of you so so very much. Love you and see you when I get home.

Our sympathy goes to each immediate family member and all family and friends as we mourn the passing of Lonnie Lucas Sr.

He was good friend to my father and we appreciated his family leadership. I fondly remember his call sharing his sympathy when my father passed in May.
