When you were my employee, I would always know when you were near, because you would be singing.
I respected you so much due to the way you would interact with the patients at work. At Christmas time you would be apart of the caroling group for the patients, something you didn't have to do.

O Lord God we come to You at this time of great shock and grief and ask that in Your grace, You would shed Your peace and comfort to all who are mourning this death - that was so sudden and so very unexpected.

Lighten our darkness O Lord we pray, and comfort our sorrowing hearts. Pour Your peace that passes all understanding into the hearts of all that are grieving and shower the assurance of Your love on all - at this time of sadness.

Lord we are not to grieve as those who have no hope - those that have not trusted in Christ as Saviour, for our hope and trust is in You and our eyes are looking to You for strength, encouragement and comfort at this time of great sadness.

Lord it is at a time like this that we suddenly begin to realise the great frailty of life and the brief portion that we are permitted on this earth. Cause all who are grieving here today to take stock of our own, individual lives and help us to be wise and to number our days. Help us to live our lives as unto the Lord, knowing that at any time You may choose to call us home as well.

Carl you are gone way to soon, but I will never for get you... I remember when I was in the ninth grade and we move on Reynolds a couple of doors down from you. You would always peak in me and Sheila's room window trying to catch us getting dress. Me and Sheila would say to ourselves UGH he makes me sooo sick. LOL... I could remember when you was working for the Bob's Pharmacy, across the street from my house. I was pregnant with Marcel, and you used to come in pick me up in your low rider talking about Jackie Meat come and ride with me to deliver the medicine. I would be so sick at time because you would bounce me around in that low rider, and think it was so funny. Sometimes I would say mama if that is Carl, when you would come honking that horn, I would say tell him I'm not here... All you would do is laugh and say Jackie Meat come out that house and ride with me to deliver this medicine. So, what I do? Come out the house and ride with you. After I had Marcel, I made you his God Father!!! Now to the good part! Oak Park Baseball League, man we had some good ole times with you coaching my boys in baseball... You remember when you and coach Black would put Marcel in to pitch? Our favorite song was Whoop There It Is!!! Death brings pain that time can only heal. No words could ease what we truly feel. He is with the Lord above and his joy is eternally sealed. Cherish his memories that death can't steal. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow but keep his memory to help comfort you tomorrow.
Carl was my Junior High School Classmate , my neighbor but most of all my brother and my friend. I will miss you my friend. Especially our talks, laughs and all those crazy and silly jokes.
To the Overstreet Family and Friends. Please accept my sincere Heartfelt Sympathy and Condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
