Aunt Bettye was married to my mother's brother Floyd Jackson. I have very fond memories of her from her visits to Texas and my visits to San Diego. She was hospitable and had a very contageous laugh. I will miss her from this side of life. My prayers are with Keith and Donald and other family members and friends. Brenda

Bettye and I have been long time friends for more than 50 years. We started our friendship almost the first moment we met for the first time when I was returning back to work from a year’s leave. At this time we both worked for the San Diego County Department of Social Services. Later Bettye changed to another department; but our friendship and kindness to one another remained, as did our concern and interest for each other's families.

I am really missing her now, but I know that one day we will meet again in that beautiful city built by God and called Heaven, where the saints of all ages will be.

Until that Day, Arlene E. Johnson

I am deeply saddened beyond words to learn of the passing of my dear friend, mentor, , and surrogate mom Mrs. Bettye J. Jackson. Ironically I went to call you the other day to ask for your advice, You always had kind words and wisdom to share. Who knew all those years ago when we met at Mt. Erie church the impact you would have on me and my life? I am forever greatful to God for your seeing something in me that made you want to allow me to become a part of your life. I will miss you terribly and you will forever be in my heart. #RideOrDieFriends4Ever!!

Mrs. Jackson was such a beautiful lady in every way. My children described her as "classy", and I agree. I am so thankful that the Lord allowed our paths to cross. She was a big part of my life for almost 30 years. Mrs. Jackson encouraged me and my children to always do our best, no matter what. She would often tell me to "pray" and not to worry so much. I will cherish the laughs, and the good times we shared forever. I miss her so much.

Bettye was a great friend to myself and my mother. She was my bus monitor when I drove for SDUSD. We had a lot of good times and laughed a lot. She was such a wonderful woman and will never be forgotten. We our sorry for your loss but she's in a great place now.
