Yebio Tesfamariam

Mr. Yebio Tesfamariam, 100 years of age, peacefully passed away on the morning of May 25th, 2020 at UCSD Hospital.

Mr. Yebio was born 1920 in Adi-Tekelezan, Eritrea to Tesfamariam Ocbazion and Te'mertza Kidane. He was the oldest of eight siblings. 

He married the late Ms. Letekidan Ghiliu in 1946. They settled inAgordat, Eritrea in the early 1950's, where they raised eight children. Mr. Yebio and Ms. Letekidan spent more than 25 years in Agordat before relocating to Sudan. They lived in Port Sudan for 14 years until resettling in San Diego where they spent the rest of their lives together.
Mr. Yebio and Ms. Letekidan were proud members of the San Diego Eritrean community and the Kidane Mehret Orthodox Church.

Mr. Yebio was predeceased in death by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Ms. Letekidan in 2012.

He is survived by his sister and brother: Fana and Habte. Sons and daughters: Eyob (Letenchel), Ababa (Abraha), Michael, Solomon, Lemlem (Neguse), Abrham, and Hadas (Tommy). As well as ten grandchildren, one great­ grandchild and numerous other relatives. 

Yebio lived a long, fulfilling life and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
