TWANDA DENISE DORTLY THOMPSON

Twanda Denise Dortly-Thompson, age 68, passed away peacefully on the early
morning of Thursday, October 9 th , 2025, with family by her side in Houston Texas.
Daughter to the late Frankie Lee Chisom and Honzie Dortly, she was born in Tampa
Bay, Florida on August 6 th , 1957.
Twanda lived in Newark New Jersey as a young child but spent the majority of her life in
San Diego, California raising her 4 children.
In 2022, following the passing of her mom and her husband Godfrey of 27 years,
Twanda retired from her nursing career and made the move to Houston Texas to live
with her son Kevin and his family.
Twanda was loved and will be deeply missed by her son and daughter in law, Kevin and
Mimi, her daughters Tanishia and Tanaya, her only niece, Quiana, and her
grandchildren, Tyrik, Robert, Maya, Shalyn, Shelden, Julyana, Ilissa Dominique, Diear
and Jeremiah.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister Wanda,
and her youngest son Jamarlo.
