SHELLY RENEE O'NEAL

Ms. Shelly Renee O’Neal was born on April 29, 1971 in San Diego, California She was a bright, witty and fun-loving young woman who loved to travel and explore other cultures.
She graduated from Patrick Henry High School where she excelled in her classes and upon graduation was selected to be one of the first students to attend "The School of Retail" founded by the late Mr. Sol Price and was hired on to work for the then, "Price Club" which is no known as "Costco Warehouse". Shelly was fluent in Spanish and as a result was among those chosen to travel and launch the opening of a Costco Warehouse in Mexico City, Mexico. She labored with the company just one month short of 36 years.

All whom knew Shelly loved and adored her. Many spoke of how she helped them in so many ways; a testament to how she was brought up to be respectful, kind and polite to others. An individual mentioned "Although I didn’t know her long, Shelly was like an explosion in my heart!!” She affected so many in a positive way, which was exemplified in the literal hundreds whom showed up to say their "goodbyes". Shelly will be missed by all those whom knew and loved her

She leaves behind to mourn her passing yet celebrate her wonderful life: Her Mother, Ernestine Brown,  Brother, Ivan (Tina) , Beloved Aunt, Lessie, Numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephew, Her BFF, Anna Lisa, Her Roommate, Jennifer, and Her Entire Beloved Costco Family. Shelly was preceded in death by Her Brother, Michael.

It’s only natural to grieve and be saddened at the loss of someone you love dearly, even Jesus wept at the loss of his good friend Lazarus (John Chapter 11). However, the Bible holds out the chance of a resurrection to all those who have lost loved ones in death. I encourage all to read John 5: 28, 29 and Rev.21:3,4.

 

The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for all of your kindness shown through cards, flowers, and most importantly your prayers...although be advised that the MEMORIAL SERVICE ON JULY 18, 2025 AT 1:00PM  HAS BEEN CANCELLED. 

I fall asleep in the full and certain hope

That my slumber shall not be broken;

And that though I be all-forgetting,

Yet shall I not be forgotten,

But continue that life in the thoughts 

and Deeds of those I loved.
