Burchell Keith Huie was born on April 7, 1989, in San Diego, California, and was raised by
his loving parents, Doreen & Burchell Huie. God called him home to rest in peace on March
4th, 2025.
Burchell graduated from Silverado High School in 2007. After a short stint at Victor Valley
College, he dedicated his life to serving his country in the U.S. Army, where he quickly
earned the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He served with honors, earning numerous awards,
including:
• Army Commendation Medal
• 4 Army Achievement Medals
• Several Good Conduct Medals
• National Defense Service Medal
• Humanitarian Service Medal
Beyond his service, Burchell found joy in the simple pleasures of life—playing basketball,
enjoying music, and playing video games. He took great optimism in traveling the world. He
was a loyal friend, a dedicated family member, and someone who always sought to help
others.
Burchell was preceded in death by his grandparents Donnie Malone and Keith Huie, as well
as his sister Deandrea Huie. He is survived by his parents Doreen Huie and Burchell Huie,
his grandmother Pansy Taylor, his brothers Christopher Malone and Terrance Huie, as well
as numerous uncles, aunts, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
Burchell will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
His courage, compassion, and dedication will remain an inspiration forever.
