Rodum Franklin Turnage, Sr. passed away at home on October 10, 2023 at the age of 80 years old. He was affectionately known as Frank, Butch and most frequently Grandpa. Frank was born on September 29, 1943 to parents Homer and Pauline Turnage in St. Louis, Missouri. He served his country in the United States Navy for 8 years. After the Navy, he worked at various jobs before ultimately ending up with the San Diego Unified School District where he worked for over 20 years. After retiring from the school district he spent his days taking care of his family, spouting his wisdom, telling stories of serving in the Vietnam War, and being a Grandpa to anyone whom needed him. He will forever be missed and will stay in our hearts as a one of a kind patriarch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Son Rodum Jr., Sister Margaret, brothers Steve and Homer Jr., and Nephew Michael. He is survived by his children Angela, Anthony, Loveda (Joseph), and Sierenev, loving life companion Irma, bonus Daughters Lisa and Benita, Sister Jacqueline, Brother Douglas (Celester), 24 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other family members and friends.
