ORIS CAPONAIL SIMMONS SR.

Mr. Oris Caponial Simmons Sr. was born, Wednesday, September 18, 1935 to Jospeh and Irene Simmons in McGehee, Arkansas. He attended the local schools and graduated from McGehee Arkansas High School. Oris joined the military and later met Erma Lee Richardson whom he would eventually marry, the two were soul mates and shared 61 years of wedded bliss. Their union was blessed with eight children, although he had a total of ten children.He had a love of spending time with his family, fishing, various sports and travelling. Oris devoted much of his time and energy into being a wonderful Husband and Father.

On Monday, April 17, 2023, God called Oris home. He was preceded in death by his Spouse, Erma, his Parents, Joseph and Irene, four of his Children; Carl,Jimmy,Doris and Jacqueline, as well as a Son-In-Law, Custus. Left to Cherish his memory and to fondly remember him forever are; Two Sons, Oris (Rosalind) Simmons Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Ambrose (Jenny) Simmons of Atlanta, GA, Ffour Daughters;Sharon Neal of Camilla, GA, Veronica (Dierre) Cospy of Canfield, OH, LaTrenda (Veolis) Carroll of San Diego, CA and Collen (Damon) Johnson of Jacksonville, FL. 19 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom will all miss him.
