MICHAEL KENT TAYLOR

Michael Kent Taylor, beloved son, cherished brother, uncle and loyal friend. Michael was born on February 11, 1957 and entered into eternal rest on July 11, 2025 at the age of 68 years old. 

A native of San Diego, California, Michael graduated from Hoover Senior High School. While in high school Michael was very active in sports, playing basketball, football and baseball. Michael was a member of the 1975 San Diego CIF high school baseball team. After high school, Michel continued his education graduating from San Diego State University. 

Michael worked at Sundance Market growing up before landing his lifetime career at Neiman Marcus where he worked for over 30 years. Michael enjoyed going to the beach, balboa park, botanical gardens and various sites around San Diego taking beautiful pictures that captured the eyes of everyone who saw them. 

Michael leaves behind two brothers: Vincent Montgomery and Travis Montgomery. Two sisters: Martha Moore and Diane Green. He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Michael is preceded in death by his mother Maedell Montgomery and his father James Taylor. 

Michael's life was a testimony to loyalty, dedication, hard work and love. Though his watch has ended, his legacy continues in his family and the many lives he touched. 

A Little While 

Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smile. I've only gone to rest for a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I've only gone to rest for a little while.
