Marvin David Titus was born on February 15th 1962 to Joe and Bettye Titus in San Diego, California. He was the youngest of seven siblings. Marvin became a Christian at an early age. He remained faithful until his passing on July 9, 2025
Marvin attended and graduated from Will C. Crawford High School in San Diego CA. Marvin was a standout athlete in tennis and football. Marvin held the record for the most yards gained in a season for junior pee- wee Pop Warner football. After Pop Warner football Marvin took up tennis and became a card carrying member of the American Tennis Association, where he won many tournaments. Marvin was a Boy Scout in troop 961. Marvin was member of Bayview Baptist Church where sang in the mens chorus.
Marvin was a founding member of the group PAR-TAY. Marvin spent many years recording and touring with PAR-TAY in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Europe, and the middle east. When Marvin was not on tour with the band he worked as a lab technician at UCSD.
In his free time Marvin enjoyed fishing, playing tennis watching sports, being with family and writing music.
Marvin leaves behind to cherish his memory: Charlotte, Sheryl, Beverly, Malvin, Kym, Stella, Waymond and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
