KYNESHA SHAIAY OWENS Obituary

Reflections

Kynesha Shaiay Owens was born on June 22,1983 in San Diego, CA to Brenda Michelle Wright and Duane Owens. She attended Knox Elementary School, Stanley Middle School and Gompers High School in the San Diego Unified School District. Kynesha worked as a home care provider for many years and over a few summers she worked seasonally for the San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fair).

Kynesha was full of life, very loving, and a caring person. She possessed a genuine love for people that was on another level. She had a special kind of love, to know her was to love her. She was a true example of family comes first and her actions proved this fact. Kynesha's personality attracted all kinds of people, she was a people magnet and a real friend. She would always spread her love and provided a shoulder to cry on for many. If someone was hurt mentally or physically, she was ready to fight for them. Kynesha was small but mighty, some people called her a 4-foot-tall bully. She was a natural guardian; this trait was imbedded in her DNA. She did not want to see anyone struggle or suffer; she was always trying to be the fixer. Kynesha LOVED her family and there is no doubt about that! Her love resonated throughout the entire family on both sides. She would give you the clothes off her back or her last dollar, if she thought it would bring a smile to your face and better your situation. She had a contagious giggle that made everyone laugh, she was always joking around, smiling and laughing. Despite what she was going through she had a smile on her face.

Kynesha's son, Movante was the most important thing in her life. Moe was her world; she would bend over backwards for any and everything pertaining to him. She made many sacrifices and she put her wants and needs on hold to assure that he had everything he needed. Although she became a mother at an early age she took her position as a mother seriously.

Recently Kynesha was introduced to her grandson, Tupu. She displayed much excitement and joy when visiting amily. She proudly showed him off to everyone letting them know she was a proud grandmother.

The family always joked that if you looked up the definition of "Daddy's Girl" don't be surprised if you find a photo of Kynesha next to it. She was her daddy's doppelganger in a female form. While growing up she was her daddy's shadow, she stuck to him like glue. Their bond was undeniably unbreakable.

Kynesha loved her mother, they taught each other how to agree, to disagree and push forward no matter what, that life lesson molded her into a strong and independent woman.

Kynesha adored her baby brother which made her a protective big sister. She would often try to push her weight around to get what she wanted. If you know her brother, then you know she would most likely fall short. From time to time to he would give in to the antics of his big sister. She truly enjoyed being a sister to Wayne. When her brother's baby girl Da' Mia was born Kynesha kept her with her so much most people thought the baby belonged to her, she was so excited to have a little niece and her bonus sister-Christina.

Auntie Connie affectionately known as "Nana" was her confidant. Their relationship was so close that Nana gave her the title niece / daughter.

Granny always supported and cared for Kynesha for many years, and Esha was grateful for all the unconditional love that Granny showed her and Moe. Kynesha made special connections with every one of her cousins and they loved each other to the fullest.

Kynesha was loved by many, and she touched many people's hearts. She was blessed to have a strong support system on both sides of her family who looked out for her and helped guide her.

Almost everyone has a memory of something funny, fun, crazy or out of the ordinary that they experienced with Kynesha because there was never a dull moment when she was around. She was a big kid at heart. When she showed up, she would light up the room, she was always full of shenanigans and etched memories in our minds that will last forever. When she left, you would be laughing, shaking your head or talking about what she did for days because she was so impactful in our lives.

Kynesha was an animal lover, she didn't back away from any wildlife or domestic pet, it didn't matter if it belonged to her, a family member or a friend, she truly cared for all life forms. When she called or dropped by to check on you, she would check on the pets too. People thought she would grow up to be a veterinarian because of the interest that she showed.

Kynesha was a devoted Daughter, Granddaughter, Big Sister, Mother, Niece, Cousin, Aunt, Grandmother and friend, everyone could feel the love she had while in her presence. Preceded in death, Grandfather Joe Wright, Grandfather Joe Louis Owens "Big Daddy", Joe Louis Owens, Jr. "Uncle Joe", Tameko Jenkins, and Jaiden Malick
