It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Joseph, a remarkable young man who
touched the lives of many. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, on July 10, 2003, he left us on Oct 25,
2024, leaving a legacy of kindness, resilience, and compassion at the age of 21. Though his
time with us was brief, his impact was extraordinary, and he will be forever cherished by those
who had the privilege to know him.
Joseph was a dedicated athlete, excelling as a varsity soccer player in both high school and
college. His love for the sport was matched only by his commitment to personal growth and
discipline; he also trained rigorously in MMA, a testament to his strength, determination, and
courage. But perhaps his greatest passion was in helping others. With wisdom beyond his
years, he was actively training to become an EMT and firefighter, driven by a profound desire to
make a difference and serve those in need. His friends and family remember him as someone
who could lift others up with a word, a gesture, or simply a smile. He possessed a rare
understanding of life and its challenges, always approaching them with grace and optimism.
Jospeh is survived by his loving family—his parents, Tsigereda Yohannes, Yenenesh
Gebreyohannes, his sibling and cousins, Mariane Karika, Hana Woldearegay and a wide circle
of friends and loved ones.
Though he is no longer with us, his light continues to shine in the lives he touched. Rest in
peace, Joseph. May your spirit live on in all those who knew and loved you.
You're still here, there's nothing I fear
We'll stay forever this way, with you safe in my heart
Although this hurts, your memory will live on...
