Unforgettable "Jessie"
Jessica Yimel Maldonado, affectionately known as "Jessie" to her family and friends, was born on October 21, 1974, in San Diego, California to proud parents, Fred and Justina Alexander. Jessie grew up in a loving home. She was the oldest of "Fred's girls," Deanna Laramore being the middle child and Brenda Alexander, the baby of the family. The three of them were known as the POWER of 3, always sticking together!
Jessie was educated in the San Diego Unified School District, graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1992. She continued her education in the medical field, completing her certificate as a medical assistant. Jessie enjoyed her career in medical billing and was employed by Sharp Rees-Stealy for 13 years.
Jessie married Rene Maldonado on July 17, 1997, in San Diego, California. They were married for nearly 27 glorious years. They have two children, Emmitt and Yaneli, who were the light of Jessie's life.
Family and friends were very important to Jessie. She opened her
arms, her heart and her home with love to all. Her laugh and smile were infectious. She loved music and loved to dance the night away!
She was a huge Cowboys fan! She enjoyed watching the games with friends and family over a carne asada. She also loved the Xolos. You could catch her at the games with her family, geared up from head to toe to include her red and black wig that she wore to show her team spirit!
On Monday, June 26, 2023, Jessie was called home to Glory to receive her eternal reward. She leaves to cherish her memory her two loving children, Emmitt and Yaneli Maldonado; husband, Rene Maldonado; parents, Fred and Justina Alexander; sisters, Deanna Laramore and Brenda Alexander; nieces, Camille Laramore and Brianna Alexander; nephew, Kingston Laramore, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will mourn her passing yet celebrate her life.
Her kindness, passion for life, her infectious smile and willingness to help others will be missed by all who loved her.
Jessie - We all will miss you very much, but we know you are no longer suffering so we will celebrate your life. We love you! Rest in Heaven.
I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, and loved in all the tabernacles until the end of time. Amen.
