HAROLD W. MULLINS

On Sunday, August 4, 2019, Harold Willis Mullins passed away at the age of 78. Harold was born May 10,1941 in Wilmington, North Carolina to Sylvester and Agnes (Brown)
Mullins. On May 14, 1966, he married Diane Lorraine Newt. They raised two daughters, Latanya and Ayanna.

He joined the United States Navy in 1961, served his country in the Vietnam War and rose through the ranks before retiring as E8 Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1983. In addition to a military career, Harold worked for New York Life and retired from the City of San Diego. Always one to embrace education, Harold received degrees from the University of New York, and Southwestern College. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing, snorkeling, diving, racquetball and traveling as far as Japan to play tennis.

Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Brown, father, Sylvester Mullins, brother, Sylvester Mullins and sister, Irene Andrews. Harold leaves behind his wife, Diane, his daughters, Latanya Brown of Oakland, CA, Ayanna Harry of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Demetrious Kitchens of San Diego, CA, Camille Brown of Oakland, CA and Lauren Harry of Montgomery AL; sisters, Athalia Harris and Sue Brown of Wilmington, NC and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Anderson Ragsdale Mortuary on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Miramar
National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
