ERWIN ELLAN EDDLEMAN Obituary

Erwin Eddleman, a spirited and giving individual known for his profound love of knowledge, captivating storytelling, and great sense of style, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on February 15, 1953, Erwin lived a life rich in passion for the Lord, dedication, and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Erwin was a dedicated heavy commercial equipment technician, a career to which he committed many years. Beyond his professional life, Erwin cultivated a vibrant array of interests. He found immense pleasure in the simple rituals of smoking tobacco and savoring a good bourbon-not to be confused with whiskey. His soul resonated with music and poetry, and he held a particular, deep reverence for the works of Bob Dylan. He also enjoyed sunbathing, nurturing his beloved roses, and sharing quiet moments with his cherished dogs, whose loyalty and companionship meant the world to him.

A true people person, Erwin's generosity touched countless lives and hearts. He was renowned as a great storyteller, enchanting those around him with his narratives. His strong convictions were evident in his unwavering dedication to the Democratic Party.

Erwin's greatest joy came from his family and those he held dear. He was reunited in death with his beloved wife of 33 years, Mary Jean Eddleman, whom he affectionately met while working with her father at Quick Dispense. He also shared a special companionship with Kim Littleton. He was a loving father to his son, Alton Eddleman, and his daughters, Abigail Hughes and Loretta Wright. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Willa Hughes, Isla Hughes, Violet Wright, and Ivory Wright, who brought immense joy to his life.

Erwin was the beloved son of the late Alton Eddleman and Jewell Eddleman. He is survived by his brothers Irad Eddleman and Dannie Eddleman, and his sisters Sherly McCarran, Sandy Chandler, and Debra Goldhagen. He was preceded in death by his brothers Alton "Butch" Eddleman and Warner Eddleman.

Erwin's warmth, wisdom, and spirit will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Night and day, you are the one
Only you 'neath the moon or under the sun
Whether near to me or far

It's no matter, baby, where you are
I think of you day and night.......
