EDWIN CURTIS ROBINSON JR.

Edwin passed away on December 7, 2024, in La Mesa, California, after a
year-long illness. Edwin was born on February 3, 1950 in La Marque,
Texas. He traveled to San Diego, CA, as a youth to live with his father,
Edwin Curtis Robinson, Sr., who preceded him in death. Edwin spent his
formative years attending Gompers Primary School and then graduating
from Hoover High School, in 1968. He further his education in San Diego
and received his Bachelor’s Degree, in Business Management. Edwin
served briefly in the Navy Reserve, as a commitment to his dedication and
patriotism. His professional career was continually spent within the
Manufacturing sector, finishing in a Dispatch role, at the North County Transit District.
A man of faith, Edwin was a member of the Bayview Baptist Church in San
Diego, CA. His personal interests varied but he had a love of shopping for antiques; a hobby that
reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Edwin’s life was
quietly highlighted by his love for his family and his friends.
Edwin is also preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Elnora Williams and
Louella M. Robinson, his sister Chinita Pierre and brothers Donald Dupree
and Anthony Scott.
Edwin is survived by his only son, Edwin Curtis Robinson, III and two
grandsons, Tyler Nicholas Robinson and Diego Malik Robinson, of San
Diego. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna R. Lowe (John) and Tina
Caldwell (Terry) both of Texas and Angela Spencer, Beaumont, CA. Also,
his brothers, Michael Robinson and Gary Robinson both of San Diego, CA.
Edwin’s memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew him,
as he was loved by many.

Services will remain private at this time. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
