DR. PHILLIP SCOTT RICKE

Dr. P. Scott Ricke, 74, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at home following a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
He was born on June 28, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Joseph O. "Hank" and Betty Rae (Davis) Ricke.
Scott was a 1966 graduate of Columbus High School and a 1970 graduate of Indiana University, where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and the Little 500 Championship Team in 1967. In 1974, he graduated from the IU School of Medicine. For recreation, Scott enjoyed skiing and playing golf. Scott said, "I want to be most remembered for the people I loved, my daughter, parents, sisters, nephews, and cousins." He was an excellent father to Alaina.

Those left to cherish Scott's memory include his loving daughter, Alaina Ricke of San Diego; a sister, Ann (Dr. Wylie) McGlothlin of New Castle; nephews, Andrew (Alison) McGlothlin of Bloomington and Patrick (Meredith) McGlothlin of Seattle, WA; two aunts, Carolyn Ricke of Columbus and Joan Coffman of Arvada, CO; a great-nephew, Hank Harrison McGlothlin of Bloomington, and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Jane Ricke.
