"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
In Loving Memory of Denise Lynn Keesee
Life Reflection
Mrs. Denise Lynn Keesee was the youngest child of the late Mr. John and Mrs. Jenni Monteiro. She was born on August 19, 1948, in Newport, Rhode Island. She is preceded in death by three brothers, John Amado Monteiro, Jr., Manuel Joseph Monteiro, and Russell Lee Monteiro, three sisters, Juliana Francis Anderson, Beverly Ann Stedford, Joan Marie Ramos, and two grandchildren, Briella and Roger. At an early age, Denise was baptized and received communion at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was educated in the public schools of San Diego, California. After high school, she was employed at UCSD Medical Center as Patient Biller for twenty-two wonderful years, where she later retired.
On June 19, 1967, she was married to her sweetheart, and this union was blessed with four beautiful children. Denise was a devoted wife, a loving sister, an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother. She was the rock of her family, tirelessly, supportive, and always there for them. She touched and influenced so many lives that she encountered in which she never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold and a smile as bright as the sun.
In her past time, she enjoyed friends and family gatherings at her home on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Denise also enjoyed arts and crafts, puzzles, watching westerns, courtroom drama, and action movies. She loved shopping and gift giving, especially to her grandchildren. Over the course of her life and marriage, she enjoyed traveling and exploring the world with her amazing husband. While touring Japan, she enjoyed softball and bowling. She later joined both sporting leagues, respectively.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, God called his servant Denise Lynn Keesee to rest from the toils of her earthly life at the Golden Age of 76. Denise's loving spirit and unconditional love for EVERYONE will forever reside in the hearts and minds of her devoted husband of 57 wonderful years, Elijah Keesee; three beautiful daughters, Michelle and Aletha Keesee both of Atlanta, Georgia, Dejon Keesee-Hilton (Tyrone) of Canton, Georgia; one loving son, Mandre Keesee of San Diego, California; one sister in love, Joan Monterio; eight grandchildren, Micheal(Natalia), Javaria, Tanazha, Russell, Te’Yanni, Chance, Journey, and Yvonne; four great-grandchildren, Milan, James, Kaori, and Cyncere, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and two dogs, that she affectionately called her Little Boys, Chocolate and Shaggy.
