David Will Archie Jr. was born July 3rd, 1938 in Birmingham Alabama to the late David Will
Archie Sr. and the late Florence E. Austin (Kelsaw). His stepmother was the late Mrs. Climmitee
Archie.
David graduated from Western Olin Senior High School in Birmingham Alabama. He joined the
Navy in 1956, and retired with Military Honors in 1978. He went on to work and retire from civil
service in 2005.
He married Cassandra Archie on March 1st 1991. This loving marriage endured until his
passing on January 14th at 9:35pm.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Cassandra Archie, his children Michael Archie
(deceased), Adrian Archie (deceased), Raishon Hinson, Cassandra Blakeney, Tracy Huggins,
Jacqueline Blakeney, Andrew Moore, Jossiah Sutton, Messiah Love-Blakeney (all of San Diego,
CA.); His siblings Mrs. Carrie M. Evans (Birmingham, AL.), Mrs. Mary A. Dixon (James),
(Pensacola, FL.), Mrs. Patricia Alexander, (Birmingham, AL.), Mrs. Angela Morgan (Durell),
(Birmingham, AL.), Mrs. Mary A. Archie (Roosevelt Archie - sister-n-law - deceased)
(Birmingham, AL.), Reginald Archie (Bernice), Michael Archie Sr. (Kitty), Hugh Edward Archie
(Clara), (all of Birmingham, AL.), (10) grandchildren, (10) great-grandchildren, a host of nieces,
nephews, and cousins to mourn his passing.
