DAVE "BAY BAY" MOLTON JR. Obituary

Born to, and preceded in death by his father, Dave Molton Sr., and loving mother, Annie Bess Molton, this world was graced with the loving, courageous, and spirited presence of Dave Molton Jr, affectionately known as, "Bay Bay", born, January 23, 1949, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, June 6, 2024.

Dave's education took place at McGhee, AR, where he graduated from DC High School. Dave was employed by the 32nd Street Naval Station as a buyer, spent a few years as a Deputy Sherriff, but spent much of his career as a truck driver. Dave received numerous awards and certificates for his good work and deeds.

What a love this man had for cooking! He would cook food and bring it to the American Legion for some of the Veterans, fix plates for the homeless and others. Don't get it twisted, he also charged for some of his delicious dinners and treats. He loved promoting his food. One of his favorite dishes was salmon croquettes.

One of his favorite quotes was "Let me hold $2.00, and when you didn't give it to him, he would let you know he had plenty of money in his pocket, he just wanted to know if you would give it to him, and if you did, he would keep it; the money would not be returned.

Dancing was another one of Dave's spirited natures that truly shone. He moved with grace and joy that was infectious. He lovea the soulful tunes of music featuring Barry White, Temptations, Four Tops, Johnny Taylor and Ohio Brothers, just to name a few. His musical taste reflected his personality. He was full of depth, passion and had a zest for life. A man of strong opinions and loyalties, Dave was an ardent fan of the San Francisco 49'ers. His love for the team was as fiery as his favorite flower, the red rose, symbolizing his passion and determination, just like his favorite team.

Left to celebrate and cherish his memory are his beloved sisters, Jessie Mae Brown, Betty Louis Langston, his children Tony Molton, Cameron Molton, Ralph Molton, Raheem Molton, Shawn Molton and Ella Molton, nephews and nieces, Donald Molton Sr, Kevin Molton Sr, Leroy Hood Sr., Charles Smith, Cubig Smith, Lawrence Smith and Detrich Smith, along with a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends.

Dave was a fighter, always pushing forward with unwavering resolve. Dave's life was a song of love, happiness and resilience, a sang that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on, "But these last two dollars, just loan me two dollars, until the next time I see you." Rest in peace Bay Bay. You may be gone from this place, but you will never be forgotten!
