A beautiful life came to an end on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
Charles Edward Lott, Sr. was born in Victoria, Texas on June 28, 1948. His parents, Vernon and Bertha Lott preceded him in death. He attended elementary, middle and high school in Victoria. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. His Navy specialty was a Supply Clerk and he completed 8 years active duty, 2 years active reserve, and was honorably discharged March 1976.
January 11, 1975, he married his devoted wife, Audrey Walker-Lott. While serving in the navy, the family was transferred from San Diego, CA to Long Beach, CA. Their first child was born in Long Beach, and the family later transferred back to San Diego where they purchased their first home. Charles continued his education and was rewarded an Associate in Arts Degree in Business Management. He worked 28 years at Naval Air Station North Island, California as an Aircraft Tool Manager. He retired in 2002 and started a second career. He was the youth girls track and field coach for 35 years, where he prepared and groomed potential athletes for the Olympic Games. Charles was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, movie buff, and a lover of food. His presence brought love and happiness into a room. He was an amateur comedian, and he had a gift for making people laugh.
Charles passed away at Riverside Community Hospital surrounded by family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Audrey Walker-Lott and their four children (Latasha Michele Lott, Angelete M Lott-Hill, Charles Edward Lott, Jr, and Shakara Monique Lott). Two Children not included in this marriage (Roderick Lott and Venus Smith). One sister (Betty Lott-Henderson, 1 daughter Ronya Henderson, one son Clemons Henderson) and four brothers (James Lott and Norzell one daugther Jamie Lott, Elvis Lott and Nadea Lott , One son Troy Lott 2 brothers Deceased Eugene Lott, 1 son Tony Lott, one daughter Tracy Lott and Michael Lott), one devoted ex-sister in law Nora Lott, and ex- brother in law Cleo Henderson. Father and Mother-in-Law (JD and Julia Mae Walker). Four sisters-in-law (Barbara Ann Walker-Carter, Josie Mae Walker, Judith Ann Walker and Scherrie McCarroll-Walker). Two brothers-in-law (Joe Walker and William Samuel Walker). Two sons-in-law (Karriem Hill and James Smith). Eight grandchildren (Trevon Pierre Lott, Brandon Karriem Hill, Brandy Kayirem Hill, Isiah Malik Hill, Aniyah Renee Lott, Nevaeh Lott, Jordan Leah Smith, and Jacquelyn Smith). He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
