Our beloved Christopher Alexander Augustine Shell was born on December 23, 1979, to Valencia Felicia Shell and Alfred Augustus Smith. Fondly known as Chris; he had a great sense of humor and was quite talented. During his childhood and school years, Chris enjoyed playing sports. Although he had a joy for football especially, he also played baseball. Christopher was very good as; he had accolades of playing pro football. However, life transitioned after a football injury in school and he could no longer play.
Christophers had a creative mind therefore, he found joy in music. He loved rhyming lyrics and rapping tunes that, he was quite proud of. Christopher settled on a career in construction he truly enjoyed building things. He was a great home builder. He once built his own tiny home in his grandmothers' backyard. He was proud and we found it to be quite spectacular. One of his moms' fondest memories is when he would call and say, " Mom this is your firstborn son of 44 years". They would both have a good laugh.
Christopher lived life on his terms. His family and friends loved him tremendously. We will remember his witty responses and his reasoning for his life choices. Tragically on May 30, 2025 his life came to a cruel end at the hands of another. As Christopher's family and friends pray for justice in his honor; let his light continue to shine bright.
Christopher is survived by his father, Alfred Smith; mother, Valencia Alaby; stepfather, Jacques Alaby Sr.; 8 brothers, Lawrence Taylor; Jacques Alaby Jr.;(Amy), Francois; Dominique; Jovan; Janvier; Jeante; Najee Alaby; and sisters, Savannah Alaby; Tatiana Smith, Children Krystyle Shell; Kristopher Shell-Williams; grandchildren, Kadon; Khilon and Khamya Shell; Grandmother, Gloria Shell-Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm standing tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased
You wouldn't want me
To ever leave this place
If only you could see me now...
