John F. Fasce, born on January 9, 1938, in Jackson Heights, New York, passed away on June 28, 2024. He was the beloved son of Aldo and Clara Fasce and the cherished brother of Charles Fasce and Joyce Fasce-Padgett who preceded him in death.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Chief Operations Specialist from March 1955 to May 1980. He served his civilian service from June 1989 to September 2005. His distinguished military career was marked by numerous significant awards, including the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Good Conduct Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Throughout his service, John was stationed at several notable duty locations, including the Recruit Training Center in Bainbridge, MD; USS LEYTE (CVS 32); Naval Air Station in Newfoundland, Argentina; Naval Station in Brooklyn, New York; USS ESSEX (CVS 9); USS RICHARD S. EDWARDS (DD 950); Fleet Anti-Air Warfare Training Center in San Diego, CA; USS TRIPOLI (LPH 10); and the Fleet Combat Training Center in San Diego, CA.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Tina Fasce, his loving daughters Denise Fasce-Borgia and Brandie Aviles, and his sons Charles Fasce and Mark Perkins. He was also the proud grandfather of Danyela Aviles. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Webber.
John will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and country. His legacy of service, honor, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
