Alan Frank Peters was born on October 20, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the third-born child of Joyce Peters. Alan departed this life unexpectedly on June 12, 2023 with his family surrounding him. He accepted Christ at an early age. Alan attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Louisville, graduating from Ahrens Trade High School in 1970.
Alan joined the armed forces shortly after graduation, enlisting in the Navy, retiring in 1997 Sept 01, after a 26-year career, making San Diego, California his home. Alan served on several ships, among them the USS Nimitz, USS Brewton, and USS Stein. Alan worked on main engines, turbine generators and auxiliary turbines in San Diego and wherever in the world a navy ship needed him such as Japan, Hawaii, Guam and Seattle. Even after he recovered from some medical issues, he was still ready to work and was utilized to perform this same mission critical work, even doing some office-based work.
Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Peters; and brother, Gregory Madry.
