Sarah Ann Jackson Freeman was born on June 14, 1936 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Bishop Allen Jackson and Rosa Lee Reese Jackson. Sarah and family moved to San Diego, California in 1972. Sarah's Christian foundation was deeply rooted. Sarah was a longstanding member of over 40 years at Linda Vista Second Baptist Church. Sarah loved using her God-given talent to sing.

Sarah was not limited to a specific profession. Sarah was definitely multi-talented. After leaving Allstate Insurance Company, Sarah became an entrepreneur. Whether selling timeshares or Mary Kay Cosmetics, she loved what she was doing and did her very best.

Sarah's passion for life could be seen by anyone she met. When Sarah stepped into  a room. one may first notice the class she exhibited, always dressed like a "Spiritual Supermodel". The depth of Sarah's personality and her heart of gold gave her the ability to approach a stranger and hold a conversation as if she had known them for a lifetime.  Sarah was always wailing to len a helping hand to someone in need; she never missed an opportunity to encourage others by telling them about the Lord. Sarah enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of Sarah's favorite gospel artist was Maihaila Jackson. Sarah had a love for animals as demonstrated by her love for her two little Pomeranians, Precious and Princess. Sarah loved tending to her garden of flowers, plants, tomatoes and oranges.

Sarah leaves to cherish her memory, her two children Deborah Hertozog of Branson, MO and Donald Freeman, wife Judy of Temecula, CA; four grandchildren and great -grandchildren; four sisters, Evangelist Mary E. Wright, Dr. Mary J. Lily, Rev. Martha Lewis of Connecticut and Evangelista Clara Johnson of San Diego, CA; one brother, Minister Jacob J. Jackson of Florida and a  host of nieces, nephews and a very special friend,, Wanda Wallace. Preceding her death one sister, Jesse L. Johnson and six brothers, Allen, John, Elisha, Samuel, James and Matthew

Thou Sarah is no longer on this earth, she has planted seeds of compassion, wisdom, independence and strength, which shall continue to grow within us and shall be passed on for generations to come. Sarah will be dearly missed by her loved ones and many friends.
