James S. Settineri, 96, of North Syracuse passed away Thursday in San Diego, CA. He was born in Rome, NY. James served in the Army Infantry during WWII, he worked as a NYC Rail Road Car inspector for 20+ years. He was a member of Bishop Curley Council 3717, Knights of Columbus.
Predeceasing him are his wife of 70 years, Jean on Jan. 17, 2018; son, Jerold John in 2013, daughter-in-law, Patricia in 1988; grandchildren, J.J. Settineri and Honor Beyer; brothers, Joseph and Frank Settineri and sister, Mary Scripa.
Surviving are children, Francine (Anthony) Smarrelli, James (Charity) Settineri, Jr. and Jeffrey Settineri; grandchildren, Alana (Eric) Stites, Alex Smarrelli, Nicholas (Kimberly), Jeffrey (Kristen), Sophia, Salvatore, Jamie, Jianni Settineri, and great-grandchildren, Faith Beyer, Chase Beyer, Serenity, Elyse, Ayla, Lucca, Soryn Settineri and Delia Rose Stites; grandson-in-law, Jason Beyer; sisters, Nancy Storto and Frances Serrano and sister-in-law, Dora Settineri.
Services will be Friday, April 13, 2018 12:00 noon at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse, and 12:30 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose of Lima Church followed by entombment with military honors in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call before services Friday from 10 am to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
