Foy Mayfield Harris was born on November 18, 1963 to Sybil Jeanette Sharp in Corpus Christie. He and his family moved to Flint, Michigan where he attended Beecher High School. After high school he entered the U.S. Navy on February 3, 1986. He served his country faithfully for 30 years until his retirement on February 29, 2016. Foy received many medals, awards and commendations while serving in the U.S. Navy. Foy later worked for Epsilon Systems, BAE Systems and Check 6.
He met and married his loving and devoted wife, Adrienne Lashun Harris. To this union, two daughters, Brianna and Christina, were born. From a previous union his oldest daughter, Teahnalin, was born. Foy and Adrienne shared 23 wonderful years together.
Foy had many hobbies. He enjoyed weight-lifting, bowling, and fishing. He participated in several bowling leagues. Foy was also an avid gun collector, traveler and cook. In addition, he also enjoyed socializing with friends and family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Adrienne Harris; daughters, Teahnalin Harris; Brianna Harris; Christina Harris; mother, Sybil Sharp; sister, Tene’ Harris; brothers, Jeffrey (Darlene) Sharp, Stephonne (Felicia) Sharp; mother-in-law, Bertha Loughridge; sister-in law, Kellie (Marcus) Paris; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by step-father, Bob Sharp; grandmother, Ernestine Dillard; father-in-law, Aaron Loughridge.
