DANZELLA GREEN, Affectionately, known as “Della” by family and friends, was born on October 9, 1934 in Brickey, Arkansas. She was the youngest of two daughters born to loving parents, Jasper and Flora Spencer. She along with her family moved to San Diego California at a young age. She received her education through the San Diego Unified School District and graduated from Point Loma High School.
Danzella met and married her husband Herbert L. Green of the United States Navy on January 6, 1962. She became a loving, devoted mother to her children. She was a stay at home Mom for many years and eventually she became employed by the San Diego Unified School District, where she retired after twenty years of exemplary service. Danzella was a woman of faith. She always knew “God was Good, All the Time”. She loved her family beyond measure, always providing unconditional love, nurturing care, she was our guider, our protector, treated us like gold but she was the “Treasure”.
Danzella was blessed with beautiful grandchildren. It was a new beginning of “Love”; her precious grandchildren were surely her “Trueloves”. They were the apple of her eye, the joy in her heart and great-grandchildren were the sweetest part. She was indeed a proud “Grammy”. She loved her neighborhood of fifty-one years. She looked out for all the children, happy or sad; she’d wipe away their tears. She was loved by so many far and near. Goodbye “San Onofre‘s Rose” you will forever grow in our hearts; where our love for you will always flow.
Danzella Green was called home to rest on Thursday, June 28, 2018 encircled with Love. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Florida Mae Globe and her uncle, Leroy Steverson.
