Ivy Zephir Seaberry was born in St. Thomas, Anguilla on June 9 1924 the only child to Joseph Edward Zephir and Louisa Richardson. At age 16 she moved to San Diego California. Where She was raised in Coronado California and attended Coronado high school. She graduated from San Diego high school in 1942 and attendant, San Diego city College, and received her degree in typing. She worked at Woolworth downtown San Diego, where she met Robert Lee Brooks and married him and had two children, Gloria Lee Brooks and Robert Lee Brooks. In 1970 she married her fishing buddy Jackson A Seaberry. She worked as a library technician for the United States government where she retired. Ivy attended Logan Temple, AME Zion Church. Where she held the position of Sunday schoool teacher, Church Secretary, San Diego district, Recording secretary, women’s home overseas Missionary society, church research person and held district initially created in 1982. Ivy was a part of toast mistress in San Diego California., crochet club in San Diego California, brownie troop, leader and meeting at her resident to prepare the girls for each milestone. Numerous organization in the church, including the altar Guild pearls of service missionary. Ivy truly loved the Lord, her church and her family. Ivy is survived by five granddaughters.
