Terry Lynn Hamilton Fuller

Terry Lynn Hamilton-Fuller-Anderson, affectionately called “Tetmo” by her family, was born April 8, 1953 in San Diego, California. She was the sixth of eight children and the first daughter born to loving and devoted parents, James Deck Hamilton Sr. and Charlyne Yvonne Portlock Hamilton. Being the first daughter, she was naturally the darling of the family and fussed over by the entire clan. She was understandably loved and treasured by her mother, who before Terry, raised five rambunctious boys. She was raised in a loving, Christian environment focusing on the teaching of the Bible, which was the guiding influence in her life.

 Terry, who was intellectual and mature beyond her years, excelled in her academic pursuits. She received her formal education through the San Diego Unified School District, graduating from San Diego High School with honors. 

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Terry selected nursing as her life work. She enrolled at Maric College of Nursing, where she graduated at the top of her class, which earned her an additional scholarship towards furthering her nursing education.

Terry began her nursing career at Mercy Scripps Hospital as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Department of Rehabilitation. Her gentle, loving and caring nature was expressed not only to her family but also to those she cared for at Mercy Scripps Hospital. She retired after twenty years of service due to failing health. She was truly a credit to the medical profession.

In 1976, Terry united in marriage with Lonnie Gene Fuller; he preceded her in death in 1981.

Terry later met and united in marriage with Tim Anderson. She loved her family unconditionally and they loved her. Her children and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She had an incredible and giving spirit and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her first husband, Lonnie Gene Fuller Sr.; three brothers, Bobbie, Huey “Rudy” and Michael and her grandson, Demontay Faust.

On Sunday, May 1, 2016, Terry Lynn Hamilton-Fuller-Anderson was called from earthly labor to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Tim Anderson; three sons, Lonnie Fuller, Mervyn Brice and Marlon Brice; two daughters, Rickia “Kiki” Vaught and Margaret Brice; two grandsons, Da’Shawn Faust and Bacaree Oaks; two brothers, James and Dennis Hamilton; two sisters, Angela Hamilton-Griffin (Carl) and Demetria Boxx-Crowder; adopted brother in love, James Albert “Cowboy” Williams (Carolyn); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends—far too many to name.
