Teri Snowden Berry

Teri Michele Snowden was born on February 13, 1974 to Robert Snowden Jr. and Carmen Leadon at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California.

Teri attended La Presa Elementary in Spring Valley then on to Webster Middle School. Teri matriculated at Patrick Henry High School graduating in 1992.  Seeking higher education, she received a B.A. in Business Administration at California College of San Diego in 2014.

Teri had a committed work ethic and was employed with the County of San Diego as well as the Housing Commission.  Teri graduated from Bay Vista Beauty College as a beautician.  Teri continued her work career at the Naval Base Commissary as a Computer Assisted Ordering Clerk.

Teri met the love of her life, Frederick A. Berry and joined matrimony on August 9, 2008.  From the blessed union a beautiful girl was born.  Blended into this family were four boys and one girl.

Teri loved life and being the number one fan of her children.  She was very active in the community as reflected in her involvement with the Mercury San Diego Track & Field Club, often travelling throughout the state and country.  She was a fashionista participating in local fashion shows dominating the runway.

Fred and Teri knew they were blessed when they joined New Creation Church of San Diego in 2003, under the Pastoral leadership of Reginald L. Gary.

Teri was diagnosed in 2015 with what would be her toughest battle.  However, she had accepted the hand she was dealt and was going to fight until the end.  She didn't want sympathy and she wanted to live her days like if nothing were wrong.  Teri had peace in her heart as she and the great maker made very good friends.  She was not scared or worried and displayed uncommon strength throughout the entire ordeal. Teri was in her husband arms when the Lord called her home on July 11, 2016 at 4:29pm.

Teri leaves to cherish her loving memory, loving husband Fred Berry; four sons, Antwon Grant, Gordon Berry, Brandon Snowden-Cannon, and Marcellus Berry; two daughters, Denai Greene and Kailah Berry; father, Robert Snowden; mother, Carmen Leadon; grandmother Geraldine Snowden; step-father, Darryl Buckhanon; step-mother, Regina Snowden; two step-brothers; Darryl Buckhanon Jr. and Antonio Walker; step-sister, Deaujana Beal-Snowden; four aunts, Gwen Petterson, Karen Snowden, Lorretta Qualls, and Ramona; uncle, Dennis Snowden Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Teri was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Snowden Sr.; grandmother, Claudia Scott; aunt, Melvina Travis; and uncle, Walter Travis.
