Charlotte Showstead Hartnett

Charlotte Marie Cattaneo-Showstead-Hartnett 
Born: October 6, 1933 - Boston, MA
Charlotte Hartnett better known as "Sister" was the oldest child of Louie and Mary Cattaneo, followed by Charles "Sonny" Cattaneo and Ann Marie "Dolly" Nieland. Although Charlotte was only eleven months older than Sonny, he always looked after Charlotte as if she was his "little Sis". As children they would spend most of their time together with Sis running after him calling "Sonny, Sonny" at Mrs. Lloyd's summer camp. Sonny, Sis, along with cousins Rocky (Carlo Leone) and Rose Marie Cattaneo, were the four musketeers! These were the good times that Sonny and Sis loved to reminice about together.   
As a child, Sis was always happy, laughing and full of life. Although she spent little of her time in school, she obtained her knowledge and wisdom by living life. She was married to Dick Showstead at about the age of Nineteen years old and they were blessed with six lovely children; Craig, Duane, Richard (Richie), Laura, Douglas and Christina. Although life was not always easy and there were many rough years, Sis loved all of her children with all her heart. Sis finally found her peace and comfort with Christina her youngest daughter, who was her caregiver for the last twenty years of her life. Sis loved that Christina would dance, sing and laugh with her! The past two months, although very difficult with the passing of Christina Showsted on July 4, 2016 were some of Sister's best moments. With having all four of her boys with her at her side, she kept a picture of them at her bedside and always spoke of how happy she was to have her boys together. She was so proud of all of her children and their accomplishments. 
Charlotte (Sister) is survived by four of her six children; Craig, Duane, Richie and Douglas. 
12 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren 
Sadly, Laura and Christina have passed but Sister is reunited with them for eternity now.
