Carl Anthony Washam

Mr. Carl Anthony Washam, A native of San Diego and a resident of Spring Valley, CA passed away at his residence on July 12th.
Carl Anthony Washam was the oldest child of Rosie and Carl H. Washam. he was born in San Diego, California at Balboa Naval Hospital.
As a youngster, he lived and attended school in San Diego until he moved to Mobile, Alabama. He spent most of his young and teenage years living with his father in Alabama.
Carl was a very friendly and outgoing person who was naturally gifted and creative with hands. Sadly and unexpectedly he passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 12, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his baby brother Phillip Payne Jr., sisters Rhonda Washam and Carla Newborn. Survivors include his loving mother Rosie Payne and stepfather Phillip T. Payne Sr.; and sisters Deborah Shirley, Leslie Watson, and Susan Carter and one other brother Alan Washam. Carl also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing, and will be truly missed! The family will receive friends at Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 10AM until 11:30AM for visitation, followed by Graveside at Mt. Hope Cemetery at 12 Noon.
